Horse Therapy Riders
Equine Therapy Rider

Riding Program

The School of Horsemanship dovetails in many ways with the Equine Therapy available to all students, but its concentration is more on the development of the rider’s skills. The limited number of spots in the School of Horsemanship are filled with girls who wish to learn equine arts, increase their skill level at dressage and jumping, and compete in equine events. Students have the opportunity to work with world renowned dressage expert, George Zitek. Students are able to spend several hours each week one-on-one or in small group lessons. At various times throughout the year, the students attend and participate in local and regional equine events and shows. Because the school is in close proximity to Lexington, VA, the girls are also able to attend exhibitions and professional competitions at the Virginia Horse Center.
