Jim Gordon–

Jim’s career spans over 20 years of experience as an
educator, an administrator, and as an entrepreneur. He has a reputation
for inspiring students to learn beyond the curriculum as well as for
helping them to discover their individual learning styles. Jim understands
the careful balance of providing the necessary structure in the classroom,
while at the same time providing the flexibility that allows students to
explore, discover, and expand their innate skills, strengths, and talents.
As an educator, Jim has worked closely with the Family Court's
Early Intervention programs and directly with families to help prevent
truancy and incorrigibility. He has a deep understanding of working with
students with AD/HD, learning differences and emotional issues. Jim has
also studied with the Metropolitan Opera Guild’s educational outreach
program, Creating Original Opera, as a means of integrating the arts in
the classroom.
Jim earned his Bachelor Degree in Social Science
and Teaching from Mercy College of Detroit. He holds a Masters Degree in
Curriculum, Instruction and Leadership from Oakland University. More
recently, Jim graduated from Walsh College of Accountancy and Business
with an MBA degree. While completing his MBA, Jim used his educational
background to do statistical research and analysis to better understand
and meet the needs of students and their families.
