Douglas Ray Eitel, M.D. – Consulting Psychiatrist
Dr. Eitel is a resident of Lewisburg, WV. He did his undergraduate work at St. Lawrence University with a Bachelors in Psychology, received his M.B.A. from Cornett, a degree in Law from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville and then went on to pursue his M.D. at the University of Iowa College of Medicine. Dr. Eitel participated in the general Psychiatry residency program at Wake Forest University School of Medicine, where he was also Chief Resident.
Dr. Eitel has extensive experience in providing psychiatric evaluations and consultation for children, adolescents and adults. He also provides forensic psychiatric services as an expert witness in legal matters and psychiatric consulting services to the local medical center. He has provided numerous presentations on a range of psychiatric topics locally, regionally and nationally and has been published in a variety of publications.
He works with Greenbrier Academy to provide medication stabilization, management and monitoring. He is also available for crisis intervention should such a need arise and sees all girls who are on medication on an as needed basis.
