Greenbrier Campus West Virginia

"The school is surrounded by beauty and nature where girls are safe to learn about themselves and how to relate to others. I can't imagine a better place for a daughter who is struggling in her life."

Inside Greenbrier in West Virginia

Location

Greenbrier Valley, WV
We are located in the beautiful Greenbrier Valley of West Virginia. The campus sits on 140 acres in Pence Springs, bordered by forests and the Greenbrier River. Pence Springs is a small town just a short distance from the famous resort, The Greenbrier and the town of Lewisburg, WV. Lewisburg has recently been voted one of the “1,000 Places in the United States and Canada to Visit Before You Die”. The town has an active artist and educational community that includes a year-round professional theatre, Carnegie Hall (an historic arts and education center donated by Andrew Carnegie), the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine, and the Greenbrier Valley Community College. Campus Facilities
The main building on campus is a large 38,000 square-foot, Federalist-style, brick structure. Constructed at the turn of the century, the site received a major two-year renovation. It houses some of the administrative offices, reception area, the student dorms and lounge, and the dining hall. The Schoolhouse is adjacent to the main building and provides eight classrooms, including a science lab, art room, library and computer lab. An additional building provides offices for counselors to conduct in-office sessions and training. The horse stables, riding arena, and dressage course are located just north of the main building. In the wooded area of the campus, we have several yurts and pavilions used for experiential classrooms and indigenous African drumming.  Our campus has an abundance of open grassy areas where students engage in their favorite athletic activities.  Our campus is located at the following address:
Greenbrier Academy for Girls
